Crochet Society Box 29 – Anna Nikipirowicz

Hi! What are you up to today?

Actually, today I spent a lovely day with my friend, lunching alfresco in the sunshine and choosing new yarn shades for my next project.

What is your favourite type of project to crochet?

Shawls, shawls and more shawls. I’m obsessed with them! I love experimenting with different shapes and stitch combinations.

Where’s your favourite place to crochet?

In my local park we have a lovely nature reserve with a gorgeous stream. I love to sit there and crochet while my husband takes pictures of the wildlife.

Which of your crochet projects are you proudest of?

Hmmm….that’s a difficult one. If I really had to choose it would be the Clean Lines shawl and Folk Tales blanket.

What’s the best piece of crochet advice you’ve ever received?

Have patience. A well-established designer once gave me this advice a few years back when I first started designing. It is absolutely true. When a design is not working or the stitch is not flowing, try a different way. Try again and again until you get it right. This is also great advice for new crocheters. Have patience and don’t give up.

Do you have any big crochet plans coming up?

I do, but it’s too secret so cannot reveal anything at the moment!
