Hi! What are you up to today?
Thinking about my handmade Christmas presents. I am already late!
What inspired your design for this box?
The colours and the softness of the yarn. I wanted to make something that could fit easily anywhere, and why not drive some attention (wow! Have you done that yourself? )
This month is all about our crafty spaces – are you a tidy or a messy crafter?
Quite messy I am afraid.
What is your favourite type of project to crochet?
Shawls, tops, bags, and now I am starting with socks!
Which of your crochet projects are you proudest of?
My #gauracardigan and #gaurabralette and a facemask for kids. You can find them in my Instagram account (@crisdvic).
What’s the biggest challenge you’ve ever faced with your crochet?
Working with Mohair, and trying to undo.
What’s the best piece of crochet advice you’ve ever received?
Choose the right yarn for the right project. Buy 1 ball first and make your sample before buying all you need. It is not only the colour or how it looks like in your store or in the screen. You need to try it first with the stitch pattern you want to make.
Where’s your favourite place to crochet?
My coach/sofa.
The nights are getting long here in the UK now – what do you do to bring in a little light and happiness?
With some fairy lights surrounding the mirrors and the windows.
Do you have any big crochet plans coming up?
I have just finished a large cardigan, and now I am starting to learn how to make socks (not so big, but challenging!)
