Hi! What are you up to today?
Hi! I am crocheting of course 🙂
The theme of this box is Season’s Sweetings. What are your favourite Christmas treats?
I love peppermint candy canes, Christmas chocolates and pavlovas.
What are your hopes for Christmas this year?
I think 2020 has shown us how important it is to be able to spend time with our families and friends at Christmas.
Will you be making Christmas presents for friends and family?
I tend to bring all the many crocheted objects I make all year and have an impromptu free market stall where my family can just choose and take home anything that takes their fancy!
What inspired your design for this box?
I thought about a photo of snow falling in the winter and I wanted something that would be soft, cosy and pretty to snuggle into.
What is your favourite type of project to crochet?
That’s actually so hard to answer as I kind of love to make all the things, however I guess I make blankets most often as I can relax and make them even when tired.
Which of your crochet projects are you proudest of?
I am really proud of my Guru guru spirals blanket design.
What’s the biggest challenge you’ve ever faced with your crochet?
The first time I used testers for a pattern I sent them a really bad draft as I had rushed it and it really wasn’t ready, so I learned to not promise things until you can actually deliver!
What’s the best piece of crochet advice you’ve ever received?
I don’t know if it’s really advice, but once I learned the join as you go method for blankets it made my life so much easier and putting together blankets just so much more enjoyable!
Where’s your favourite place to crochet?
I live on my very large couch in the lounge room which has huge windows looking out to my garden, you can pretty much always find me there!
Do you have any big crochet plans coming up?
Oh yes, always so many plans and ideas, my mind is bursting and there is never enough time in the day for all of them!!
