Jenny Conduit – Editor of Crochet Now magazine

What is your favourite type of project to crochet?

I love to crochet amigurumi – the nerdier, the better! I also adore starting new blankets, but I have a problem with finishing them because I get so distracted and excited with starting something new, in which lies the beauty of toys as they can be finished much faster.

Which of your crochet projects are you proudest of?

I have designed a number of projects for Crochet Now magazine, and I am proud of them all! In particular there was a cowl and a shawl, made from small hexi-motifs, joined as you go, and I really love those two projects.

The theme of this box is getting away from it all. We might not all be able to go very far right now, but we can still dream about holidays! What’s your dream vacation destination?

It’s not very ‘sunny’, but I would simply love to go to Japan!

Tell us something unexpected about yourself!

I’m a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo!

What’s the best piece of crochet advice you’ve ever received?

Check your tension! Especially with garments, I can’t tell you how many crocheted sweaters I’ve had to unravel.

Where’s your favourite place to crochet?

On the sofa with a Disney film on the tv!

Do you have any big crochet plans coming up this year?

Where can people find out more about you?

You can check out the magazine at www.crochetnow.co.uk and you can find me on Instagram as thegeekyknitter
