Making up

Fold the first 48 rows (MC portion) in half. Then, with MC, dc through both thickness of left then right side to join. With CC2, dc through Lining and rem unjoined flap around sides and top to join, placing 1 dc in each row edge and each st across top. Leave a long tail to sew unjoined bottom edge to inside of bag, ensuring CC2 does not show through on the front. Sew snap to centre of lining and corresponding centre of bag.

Fringe

With CC1, cut 35 strands approx. 28cm long, add one strand to each st at end of tapestry section (flap) by folding strand in half and pulling loop end through st from front to back with hook, then thread the ends through loop and pull gently to secure. Trim all edges even with bottom of bag.
