About the yarn DK; 350m per 100g ball; 40% wool, 30% acyrlic, 30% polyester (all from recycled sources)
Tension 20 sts x 22 rows = 10cm measured over dc
Hooks used 3.5mm
Other supplies elastic, tapestry needle
Sizing 26 x 12 cm
Beg 1 ch does not count as st throughout. Work all RtrF and RdtrF around next (or as indicated) raised st from previous Row. For Row 3, work each RtrF around dc from Row 1 directly below. Chain 54.
Row 1: Starting in 2nd ch from hook, 53 dc. Turn. 53 sts
Row 2 and all even rows: 1 ch, 53 dc. Turn.
Rows 3 & 5: 1 ch, <*2 dc, 2 RtrF, 3 dc, 2 RtrF, 2 dc*, 4 RtrF; rep from * to * once>, 1 RtrF, rep between brackets once more. Turn.
Row 7: 1 ch, {*2 dc, <1 dc, 1 RtrF> in next raised st, 1 RtrF, miss 1 dc, 1 dc, 1 RtrF, <1 RtrF, 1 dc> in next raised st, 2 dc*, 4 RtrF; rep from * to * once}, 1 RtrF; rep between { and } once more. Turn.
Row 9: 1 ch, <*3 dc, miss next 3 sts, 2 RdtrF, 1 dc in 3rd missed st, 2 RdtrF around first 2 missed sts, 3 dc*, miss next 2 sts, 2 RdtrF, 2 RdtrF around missed 2 sts; rep from * to * once>, 1 RtrF; rep between brackets once more. Turn.

Fasten off.
Finishing
Join the two ends of cosy by sewing elastic to each side with a length of yarn and tapestry needle – one piece each at the top, middle and bottom. Weave in all ends.

Raised treble front (RtrF): Yrh, insert hook around post of indicated st from front to back around to front again, yrh, pul, [yrh, draw through two loops] twice.
Raised double treble front (RdtrF): [Yrh] twice, insert hook around post of indicated st from front to back around to front again, yrh, pul, [yrh, draw through two loops] three times.
