For the next few days we will just be working on 1 side of your strip of hexagons.

Tip: For the rest of the blanket, you may find it helpful to PM in first and last st of each row to help you keep track of the edges.

Special abbreviations

tr4tog treble 4 together: Yrh, insert hook in BLO of next st, yrh, pul, yrh, draw through 2 loops (2 loops on hook), yrh, insert hook in first ch in corner of first hexagon, yrh, pul, yrh, draw through 2 loops (3 loops on hook), yrh, insert hook in 2nd ch in corner of next hexagon, yrh, pul, yrh, draw through 2 loops (4 loops on hook), yrh, insert hook in BLO of next st, yrh, pul, yrh, draw through 2 loops (5 loops on hook), yrh, draw through all 5 loops on hook. PM.

Standing tr: With slip knot on hook, yrh, insert hook in indicated st, complete tre as usual.

Turn. 192 sts & 7 corner 2ch-sps

Row 2 (WS): 3 ch (counts as 1 tr), 1 tr, miss 1 st, *<1 tr, 1 ch, miss 1 st> 6 times, <1 tr, 2 ch, 1 tr> into 2ch-sp, <1 ch, miss 1 st, 1 tr> 6 times**, miss 3 sts (the 2^nd of these missed sts should be the marked tr4tog); rep from * 6 times more, ending final rep at **, miss 1 st, 2 tr. Turn. 102 sts & 7 corner 2ch-sps.

Row 3 (RS): 3 ch (counts as 1 tr), 1 tr, miss 1 st, *<1 tr into 1ch-sp, 1 RtrB> 6 times, <1 tr, 2 ch, 1 tr> into 2ch-sp, <1 RtrB, 1 tr into 1ch-sp> 6 times**, 1 RtrB around both of next 2 sts (on either side of the 3 sts missed on Row 2), PM; rep from * 6 times more, ending final rep at **, miss 1 st, 2 tr.
