We really hope you’re all enjoying the CAL pattern and learning lots as you go along.

Before we started, we thought that the element of surprise was mega important to everyone, so we’ve been keeping the actual pattern well under wraps. Over the past couple of days though, some of you have said you’d really appreciate some photos of the finished project so that you can see what you’re working towards. So – read on with caution!

Amazing! The finished blanket looks beautiful.
I started yesterday evening. I’m a slow lower level intermediate ( on a good day), and am determined to persevere .
Please…….is it possible to get a written pattern?
I use my phone only- no computer and no printer available. Also,I’m not on Facebook and am dependant on this blog. I’ll be honest- I prefer the written word, instead of rebooting my phone all the time!
    Thanks again for the calendar,
    Happy Christmas to all,
    Ann.

I struggle with the phone pattern, I would prefer a printed pattern. I’m a bit of a techno phone so the written word gets my vote everytime. Pattern is lovely though. Love n light Chris.

Thanks, for sharing the finished project. As I couldn’t get the advent cal as I’m in Australia, I wasn’t sure about what colours (even though there were suggestions) and was sitting on the fence until the end. Now I know I’ll join in.

Oh I love this finished blanket. Here’s hoping next year to get advent calendar in Australia 🇦🇺 but I do have some colours to join along.
Happy Xmas from sunny Brisbane ☀️

Oh my gosh I am SO HAPPY to see a photo of the finished blanket. I have never done a blind CAL and wasn’t sure what i was doing but now i have seen what the finished product looks like I am even more excited to get going. I love having the pattern released a little bit each day. The yarn is so soft and this is such a lovely treat x

I would second that! Especially as I am very very slow and am planning to complete it over the year – will the pattern be available ‘for ever’?

We will leave the pattern up after Christmas. x

I’m so disappointed. I ordered 2 boxes -one for me and one for a friend. They haven’t arrived yet😣

Is it only me that is disappointed that there is not a written pattern in the calender? I only have access to a computor when I am at work, so they kindly let me print out what I can, but I cannot access the online tutorials and as a learner I am finding it difficult! My phone is very small and I can only just manage to see the odd text so I cannot rely on that. Had I known it would be computor based I wouldn’t have ordered the advent!

We’re really sorry for any disappointment. Thanks for feeding back, we will take your comments on board. x

Hi, I was lucky and have my advent calendar but it was a bit late! Although the blanket is lovely, I was expecting to make something I bit more christmassy – Even the crochet hook it pink, it would be nice if it had a Christmas theme.

Also, some written instructions with it would be good.

      Hi Sharon,

Really sorry, I’m afraid we don’t have the pattern in its entirety available to print. Thanks for suggesting this though as we will take this on board for future projects 🙂

Are there any advent calendar boxes left to buy? I am a monthly box subscriber but for a variety of reasons the advent calendar has passed me by.

I’m afraid we’ve sold out of the calendars – sorry! Do keep an eye on the Crochet Society shop as any spares will be listed there. x

I have bought the “tonal” feel colours suggested in the introduction post but have no clue how to order them and which rows the grey should be on! Can you please guide me at all?

      December 21, 2020 at 1:11

      Hi Bynona,

      Thanks for your message.

I think having a contrast between each day’s colours, and alternating between bright and light would work best. You could also pop across to the Crochet Society Facebook group to see how others have ordered their yarn. Hope that helps 🙂 x

It would be good if we could have some close ups of the actua blanketl pattern on a daily basis as opposed to the deisgners own makes?
