Absolutely love it. Beautiful and so colourful and a Christmassy feel to it.

You can still cancel your order as it hasn’t been dispatched yet. I cancelled mine in the end.

Not really my cup of tea. I think I will do something else with the yarn

Thank you so much for showing us the projects ahead of time. I don’t celebrate Christmas, but I can already see that I can make a snowflake/falling snow themed blanket and exclude the more obvious Christmasy squares, exchanging them for more snowflakes. I might have to wait a few days for the appropriate patterns to be released but that won’t be a problem. I’m not interested in working Amigurumi myself, but the toys do look cute. πŸ₯°

I decided to cancel my order for this calendar in the end. I really don’t like any of it enough to pay the price being charged for it. I agree with the reviewers who say it looks juvenile. Couldn’t one of the options been aimed at adults?

Another bad decision that started last year was not to make the pattern for the calendar free to those who wanted to used their own stash. I can understand wanting to keep it ‘exclusive’ but how about the option to purchase the pattern only? Especially as the calendars sell out and not everyone who wants one can get hold of one.

Also, having bought the previous three year’s calendars (although unable to finish last year’s because of insufficient yarn, no help or apology from the publisher at all) I have enough of the ‘gifts’ already (which I’m not using anyway). Thw publisher seems to have run out of ideas, and it’s just the same cheap tat being churned out. The increase in the price of the boxes and a switch to a box every two months was supposed to provide more yarn and better quality gifts. They have not done this. I see no difference in the new bimonthly boxes from the monthly ones.

I don’t think this publisher is ‘crocheter-centred’ at all. It needs someone who is pationate about crochet to take it over and turn it into a real society, whose members join because they love good quality crochet patterns and equipment.

I totally agree with everything you have said. I cancelled the boxes after I got nothing but the yarn and a pencil case and this one was short of wool and filled with left over tat they couldn’t get rid of. They are not cheap and to claim that the pattern book costs Β£12.99 is a joke! You wouldn’t pay that for a magazine that has way more patterns. The patterns haven’t been up to much either. I think that Sarah Jayne kept things fresh, they were silly to lose her, it has gone downhill and become a money making scheme. I defended the calendar last year from those complaining but not this year.

I don’t like this calendar. It’s to childish. I will use the yarn for something else.

I just don’t like this at all 😒 I have looked at them every which way but I just can’t make them look good. They look so amateurish and childish. I was so looking forward to starting this as I have done the other calendars and loved them and have lost my crojo atm and thought that this would get it back. I fear not! I just hope that it’s not the same as last years with stuff missing, the wrong yarn and all the other disasters.

I am glad it’s not just me feeling disappointed. I was expecting something pretty and classy; these are quite amateurish looking. And I just opened the first box and only one hook supplied, yet two are required to make the patterns. Bah humbug!

Yeah I noticed the hook thing as well. The pattern says “with larger hook” and then “with A smaller hook” Not exactly clear or precise πŸ™„ A waste of quite a bit of money but we live and learn. I’ve already cancelled the boxes as the box before last I got yarn and a pencil case, no hook, no stitch marker nothing. For this box, they had to send out another ball of wool and that “Premium” gift we are supposed to get seemed like a load of bits and bobs that we’ve had so many times before. I never open my calendar until the day but because I was so disappointed with the pattern I did. It is full of tat! The same stuff yet again.

not quite my cup of tea. I wanted it for a friend’s child. but too xmas to use all year round. I might make the squares and hope the xmas decorations are sew on after. I love the last two year boxes, but still not sure on this one, might grow on me

Really disappointed. Don’t care for the blanket or the stuffed toys. I’m going to make a blanket with the yarn.

I think it Isa great project , however not my cup of tea . I don’t particularly like amigurumi or apliques. However the project is beautiful . I will find something else to do with my yarn .
