Mini Christmas Stocking crochet pattern

Yarn used Crochet Society Cosy DK in Ivy (MC), and Holly (CC)

About the yarn DK; 112m per 50g; 50% wool, 50% acrylic

Tension 19 sts x 19 sts = 10cm measured over dc

Hook used 4mm

Other supplies Tapestry needle, stitch marker

Sizing 18cm high, 12 cm wide

Hints and tips to help keep track of the rounds, use one of your stitch markers!

Step by step

This pattern is worked in rounds, starting from the toe. Do not turn your work at the end of the round, but use your stitch marker to mark the end of the rounds.

Rnd 1: With MC and working into a magic ring, 6 dc. 6 sts

Rnd 2: 2 dc in next st, rep to end. 12 sts

Rnd 3: * 1 dc, 2 dc in the next st, rep from * to end. 18 sts

Rnd 4: * 2 dc, 2 dc in next st, rep from * to end. 24 sts

Rnd 5-12: Dc around.

Rnd 13: 8 dc, pm in next st, ch 10, miss 8 sts, 8 dc. 26 sts

Rnd 14: 7 dc, dec, 8 dc, dec, 7 dc. 24 sts

Rnd 15-26: dc around, change to CC.

Rnd 27: 14 htr, ch 7, htr in the last st made, 10 htr, sl st. 32 sts

fasten off and weave in ends.

Heel

Rnd 1: join CC with sl st in marked st, dc around. 18 sts

Rnd 2: * 1 dc, dec, rep from * to end. 12 sts

Rnd 3: 6 dec. 6 sts Fasten off and weave in ends.
