Super Chunky Cowl Free Crochet Pattern
Another bonus pattern for you! This mega-chunky cowl can be crocheted in under an hour and isn’t heavy to wear. If you don’t have a crochet hook large enough, you could work this pattern using your fingers!

About the yarn Extreme chunky; 29m per 300g skein; 100% polyester
Tension 2sts x 2 rows = 10cm measured over bean st
Hook used 25mm
Sizing 20cm tall x 92cm circumference
Special stitches Bean stitch (bean st): [Yrh, insert hook, yrh, pull through 1 loop] twice, yrh, draw through all 5 loops on hook
Step by step
The cowl is worked in turned rows. Chain 6.
Row 1: Starting in 2nd ch from hook, 1 bean st, [1 ch, miss 1, 1 bean st] twice. Turn.
Row 2: 1 ch, *1 bean in next ch sp, 1 ch; rep from * twice. Turn.
Rows 3-17: Rep Row 2. Hold first row together with last row worked to create cowl shape.
Row 18: Working through both layers of fabric, work 1 dc into each ch-sp and top of each bean st across to join. 5 sts
Fasten off. Use your fingers to weave in all ends.
