Making up

Stuff tails loosely and sew ends flat. Sew up hole in the middle of the tail fins, where they meet the body. Stuff nose and sew to face, positioning just under eyes. Using black yarn, stitch a mouth onto the nose. Stuff flippers and attach to the side of the seal. Weave in all loose ends.

Designer Tip

It can be hard to see your stitches with this yarn. If you’ve not worked with it before, play around with a couple of swatches before you begin, and familiarise yourself with how the stitches feel. Touch will be your biggest ally with this project. This seal is a great size for a travel pillow!
