Advent CALendar 2025 - Day 16 Cross Stitching

Welcome to our Advent CALendar Day 16 cross stitch page. We have some festive embroidery project inspiration and handy guides to get you started!

Congratulations on making it this far in your crochet along, you're making amazing progress! If you're looking to learn or develop your cross stitching skills, you're in the right place. In your day 16 drawer, you should find a little embroidery set, just like the one we've used in this guide.

Let's get started!

Choose the colours of yarn you wish to use (or embroidery floss if you have any) and cut into lengths of approx. 45cm – we used 5 colours for the stocking shown below; Mint Gelato, Cherry Bomb, Sugar Mouse, Strawberry Milkshake and Lemon Drops.

If using advent yarn, carefully unravel the ply to split the yarn into 4 thinner threads. If using embroidery floss, split threads to use 2 at a time.

Follow the chart to stitch your design, working from the centre of the chart and the centre of the aida, working outwards. Download the chart for your chosen design below.

When finished, secure aida into embroidery hoop and hang on your tree or give as a gift!
