Day 14 – Inset Mosaic

Special abbreviation Treble 3 down (tr3d) – working in front of ch-sps from previous 2 rows, tr in missed st 3 rows below Continue with 3mm hook.

To join new colours, or change working colour, simply pull up loop in new colour through loop on hook, tighten loop of previous colour.

Row 1 (RS): Remove marker and pul in new colour (C14), 1 dc, 1 tr3d, *2 ch, miss 1 st, 3 dc, 2 ch, miss 1 st, 1 tr3d; rep from * to last st, 1 dc. Turn. 115 sts

Row 2 (WS): 1 ch (does not count as st here and throughout), 2 dc, *2 ch, miss ch-sp, 3 dc, 2 ch miss ch-sp, 1 dc; rep from * to last st, 1 dc. Turn. 115 sts

Row 3 (RS): Drop C14 yarn, but do not cut it. Pull up C13 loop, 1 ch, 2 dc, *1 tr3d, 2 ch, miss 1 st, 1 dc, 2 ch, miss 1 st, 1 tr3d, 1 dc; rep from * to last st, 1 dc. Turn. 115 sts

Row 4 (WS): 1 ch, 3 dc, *2 ch, miss ch-sp, 1 dc, 2 ch miss ch-sp, 3 dc; rep from * to end. Turn. 115 sts

Row 5 (RS): Cut C13. Pull up C14 loop, 1 ch, 3 dc, *1 tr3d, 1 dc, 1 tr3d, 3 dc; rep from * to end. Turn. 171 sts

Row 6 (WS): 1 ch, dc across. Turn.

Row 7 (Fan edging, RS): 2 ch (counts as 1 dc, 1 ch), 1 dc in 2nd st, *miss 2 sts, <1 ch, 1 tr> 4 times in next st, 1 ch, miss 2 sts, 1 dc; rep from * to last st.

Leaving last st unworked, hold active loop on a st marker and clip remainder of C14 to edge of blanket. 142 sts
