Here we chat to Crochet Society Box 19 designer, Natalia McHayle (@taliacrochetcreations on Instagram)
What inspired your design for this box?
When I saw the colours of this box, I knew I wanted to create something lacy to complement the softness of the colours.
What is your favourite type of project to crochet?
My favourite types of project to crochet are sweaters with lots of texture.
Which of your crochet projects are you proudest of?
It’s really hard to pick because I’m proud of all of my projects. They each have a special place in my heart.
What’s the biggest challenge you’ve ever faced with your crochet?
My biggest challenge with crochet is time. I think there needs to be more hours in the day to do what I love.
What’s the best piece of crochet advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I’ve ever received was to create what you love. It takes the pressure off of having to crochet everything that’s on trend.
Where’s your favourite place to crochet?
My favourite place to crochet is in bed with a lot of pillows.
The nights are getting long here in the UK now – what do you do to bring in a little light and happiness?
When the nights are long I mostly spend it indoors with family around the dinner table.
Do you have any big crochet plans coming up?
My biggest plan for the new year is to focus on rebranding my handmade business.
